The VCarve Pro software offers various tools and options for creating control programs for CNC machines, including cutting, milling, engraving, and processing of flat and three-dimensional surfaces.

How do you create toolpaths for the machine?

Various CAM software allows the creation of toolpaths, such as V-Carve, ArtCAM, Rhinoceros, Deskproto, etc. We recommend considering using toolpath generation features within CAM software. We also offer a comprehensive training course on how to utilize these toolpath features effectively.

Is it possible to install a different type of knife?

Our machines have the technical capability to install several different cutting knife types. The default option is the oscillating knife. Additionally, a tangential blade and/or a creasing wheel can be installed.

Can I create toolpaths using both a milling tool and a knife?

The EdgeCut machines are equipped with modern controllers that allow the execution of programs using both a milling cutter and a blade. Such dual-operation programs can be conveniently created in the CAD/CAM system VCarve Pro.

What is the average lifespan of a cutting blade?

The average lifespan of a blade depends on the material being cut and the cutting conditions. The lifespan of materials containing abrasive components, such as abrasive laminates, is relatively low and can be measured in tens of meters. For softer, foam-like materials, the average lifespan can reach hundreds of meters, and with balanced cutting conditions, it can exceed a few kilometres.

What material is used for the spoilboard?

To preserve and extend the lifespan of cutting blades, disposable material must be placed under the workpiece. Our company uses a special material that not only extends the blade’s lifespan but also improves the workpiece’s retention on the vacuum table.

How can I control the vacuum table?

The vacuum table of a CNC machine is divided into several vacuum zones, which can be controlled in two ways:

  1. Mechanical valves on the machine’s front panel open/close the air supply to the vacuum zone. ;
  2.  Electric valves are controlled by pressing the corresponding buttons.
What kind of compressor is necessary for a CNC machine?

An additional compressor is required for machines with automatic tool change. For stable and proper operation, a compressor capable of maintaining pressure at the machine’s input of 8-10 bar and having a productivity of 420 normal litres per minute is necessary. The preferred volume of the compressor’s receiver should be at least 200 litres.
